Crazy as it sounds I’ve noticed that Stormy( the family cat) and how even though he originated for my daughters he more leans on me. Like he can sense I’m the mom maybe. Or my initial thought was cause we have a laid-back relationship meaning the girls always want to get him and play or hug up on him like a baby lol. He hates it most of the time. You’ll see him squirming trying to get away or he will make yelping noises like “Leave me alone”. But me and him are laid back. In passing I will pet him and say his name. I do talk to him. Kind of like you would talk to yourself. He comes to me when he’s hungry. He may come to me every so often and want me to pet him and show attention. He hides in corners or the window seal, which are his comfy places. Other than that we be chilling.
That got me thinking that is a good relationship for me as silly as it sounds. I’m a laid-back person for the most part. I can get mad and curse you out but I prefer a peaceful existence especially when I’m home. My partner should always know that I’m there. That I acknowledge them every day. If he needs me he just has to come to me. That even when the other people in his world may like chaos, I’m here in peace and love as I would need him to be. Laid back and in love is where I want to be.
